The set up of the story is one continuous tale with one of the authors writing so many chapters instead of each author offering a novella. Julia Quinn and Eloisa James are two of my favorite historical romance writers, but they don't seem to publish as fast as I read. Seeing this title in between their regular publications was like the cherry on my sundae!I enjoyed the first two-third of the book. The chapters flowed and the characters were smart, funny, and people I really connected with. I cannot say this about the last third of the book however. The heroine came off as idiotic and selfish and the hero was uninteresting. I am not sure what author did what section; I can only assume that the order the authors are listed on the cover is also their contribution order.
