I tried to get into this story, I really did. But I couldn't like the hero, who seemed to whine "poor me" so much in the beginning it was off putting. I know he was deeply affected by the trauma of that destroyed all but a few of his team, but I couldn't get over it to like him.Same for the heroine: I didn't care about her at all. She came off as kick ass and awesome, but I didn't feel like there was a chemistry between her and the hero to read further. I know the same mission that destroyed the hero, also impacted her, but I didn't care to find out why she wanted to discover the truth.I know others like this book, several people who read the same why I do, but I didn't feel a connection to it. I may try again later.
